A subsequent application for international protection

You can make a subsequent application for international protection if your first application has been rejected. Only make a subsequent application if you have a new reason or if new facts have arisen after your first request was refused.

You register your subsequent application with the Immigration Office.

  • The first application must be definitively closed.
  • The procedure for your subsequent application will be in the same language as your first application.

The rules for a subsequent application are different than for a first asylum application.
