Enrolling for a language class in Flanders
- Make an appointment with the Agentschap Integratie & Inburgering. During an intake interview, a member of staff will help you find the course that best suits you.
- The member of staff will ask questions about which languages you already know, which diplomas you have, why you would like to learn the language, whether you have a lot of time or not much... You will sometimes need to take a test to ascertain your language skills.
- After the interview and the test, the language centre will propose a course.

Learning Dutch in Brussels is possible via "Het Huis van het Nederlands".
How much does language courses cost?
Applicants for international protection can have a reduction on the enrolment fee for language courses.
If you are staying in a reception centre, ask your social worker which costs you have to pay before enrolling.
If you are not staying in a reception centre, Fedasil does not pay for your language course. However, you can ask Fedasil for a certificate to ask the school for a reduction in the enrolment fee for language courses. To obtain the certificate, send an email to infopoint_attesten@fedasil.be and attach your annex 26.
