The invitation to the CGRS for my interview

The Immigration Office sends your case to the CGRS (CGRA/CGVS). The CGRS then invites you for a personal interview.

If Belgium is the responsible country for processing your application for protection, the Immigration Office forwards your case to the CGRS (CGRA/CGVS).

The CGRS is an independent body which grants or refuses refugee status or subsidiary protection. Before taking a decision, the CGRS invites you to its offices (the 'invitation'). You can then explain why you left your country of origin (this is called the 'personal interview').
