Your social worker
Every asylum seeker receives the help of a social worker.
A social worker will take care of you during your stay in the reception location. Don't hesitate to talk to them if you have questions about your personal situation.
Discussion with a social worker
What can your social worker do?
- They explain how the reception location operates. They give you information about your rights and responsibilities.
- They explain the situation of your application for international protection. They help you when you want to receive official documents or when you receive an official letter.
- They can refer you, if necessary, to specialist services (a psychologist, for example).
- They check whether your reception location is adapted to your situation.
Secrecy
The information you give or ask your social worker for is protected by professional secrecy. This means that your social worker cannot share this information with others.
