Food and accommodation
In the reception centre, asylum seekers can eat, wash and sleep.
A bed
In the reception centre, you have your own bed and a small wardrobe to store your personal belongings.
If you have arrived with your family, you sleep together in the same room and you do not share your room with other people.
If you are alone, you share a room with other people who have arrived alone. Men and women sleep in separate rooms.
Shower and toilets
There are also showers and toilets in your reception location. Men and women have separate toilets and showers.
Meals
Three meals are served every day. Meals are organised in two ways:
- Either there is a large kitchen in your reception location and meals are cooked for everyone. The meals are then served in a large room at fixed times of the day (morning, noon, evening). Special meals are provided for people who have a special diet.
- Or there are small kitchens. Then you cook your own meals. You receive tickets or money to buy food in a store.
